School Psychologist (26-27 SY)

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations to identify students' cognitive, academic, and social-emotional needs, and determine eligibility for special education services.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, academic advisors, and the emotional support team to develop strategies that promote student well-being and academic achievement.
• Participate in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the school community.
• Mentor and supervise psychology and social work interns from local university partners.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school policies and state regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Delaware Educator License or eligibility for licensure in Delaware
• Delaware School Psychologist Standard Certificate or eligibility to obtain
• Master's degree and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) or higher
• Prior experience working with urban youth preferred
• Proficiency in conducting psychological assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing counseling services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
