About the role

RCM HealthCare Travel is seeking a local contract School Physical Therapist for an in-person position in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. This assignment runs for the duration of the 2026/2027 school year, 1 day per week (any day Monday through Friday) from 8:30 AM – 2:45 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Provide screening, evaluation, intervention, and consultative physical therapy services for students
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments, document findings, and develop recommendations for intervention
  • Plan and implement individual and group physical therapy goals and activities
  • Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Consult and collaborate with school personnel, parents, outside agencies, and community providers regarding student needs
  • Instruct and monitor school and home personnel in therapeutic management strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, reports, and intervention data
  • Organize and implement physical therapy programs aligned with educational goals and policies
  • Maintain inventories of equipment, materials, and supplies
  • Participate in program planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and administrative meetings
  • Provide ongoing education and information regarding physical therapy services and student physical/motor disabilities
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities
  • Adhere to professional ethics, state regulations, and district policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school of physical therapy
  • Licenses & Certifications: Current Physical Therapist License in the State of New Jersey; School Physical Therapy Certification

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy practices and interventions within a school setting
  • Ability to assess, document, and interpret student performance and therapy outcomes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams, families, and community agencies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with educational and healthcare regulations
