School Outreach Coordinator Volunteer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer School Outreach Coordinator to help us expand our reach across Georgia. This role is essential to connecting our programs with schools that need them most.

Responsibilities

• Along with the Director of Programs, conduct outreach to K-12 schools across Georgia, with a focus on underserved communities
• Support scheduling and coordination of on-campus STEAM workshops with school contacts
• Track communications and schedule details using shared project management tools
• Maintain up-to-date records of contacts, schedules, and follow-up needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior volunteer, work, internship experience
• Located in Atlanta metro area
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong project management ability (volunteer or professional)
• Comfortable working independently and proactively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• Knowledge of Georgia’s education system, especially Title I or underserved schools
• Passionate about STEM education equity
• Comfortable using Google suite of tools and Slack
