Part-time, 9-month administrative Graduate Assistant position within the School of Education, located in Erie, Pa.

Responsibilities

  • Restock copy machine.
  • Serve as School of Education receptionist.
  • Maintain the job bulletin board.
  • Upkeep of School of Education social media platforms.
  • Student file maintenance, organization, and filing.
  • Sort mail into faculty mailboxes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness in all School of Education areas.
  • Prepare daily course materials (e.g., copies) for faculty and staff.
  • Greet students and visitors, directing them to the appropriate office.
  • Perform general office work (e.g., filing, printing, scanning, campus deliveries, organization, inventory).
  • Conduct general research (e.g., best practices and programs, comparison of peer institutions, new ideas/concepts).
  • Assist with special projects associated with the college.
  • Uphold professionalism and integrity as a student representative of Gannon University and the School of Education.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Excellent reading, writing, typing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, demonstrated by previous work experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, MS Excel, MS Forms, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • Reliable, honest, and in good academic standing with no prior academic integrity violations.
  • Adherence to strict confidentiality policies.

Physical Demands

  • Bend, lift, push, and pull to move boxes and supplies throughout the Palumbo Academic Center.
  • May lift up to 30-50 pounds.
  • May transport items across campus.

Hours: 10 hours per week, office schedule depending on candidate’s availability. Non-exempt, 1st shift position.
