School Occupational Therapist - $38 per hour
About the role
Supplemental Health Care is hiring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to work at a partnering school district in Lake Luzerne, New York. This is a local contract position starting ASAP for 13 weeks (33-week contracts also noted), with 35 hours per week (7-hour day shifts).
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement the therapy treatment program aligned to student goals
- Collect therapy data and monitor progress toward student goals
- Work collaboratively and communicate with school interdisciplinary team and student guardians
- Assigned schools may include various grade levels
- May be asked to travel between school locations
Requirements
- New York COTA License
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Prior experience with pediatrics or in a school setting preferred but not required

Pay
$35.40 – $38.15 per hour. Estimated weekly payment may include both taxable wages and tax-free reimbursements for meals, housing, and incidentals; speak with a recruiter for details. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience. Pay package is based on 7-hour shifts and 35 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
