About the role
Critical Connection, inc is seeking a School Services School Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Federal Way, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and educational goals.
- Evaluate students’ fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional school-based skills.
- Develop treatment plans and goals that support student participation in the classroom and school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress reviews.
- Document therapy sessions, progress notes, evaluations, and required compliance paperwork accurately and timely.
- Recommend classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and strategies to improve student independence and access to learning.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff and families as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements.
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of assignment.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- NBCOT certification preferred or required based on state/district requirements.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP processes, special education services, and school-based therapy models preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
School-based schedule, Monday through Friday. Follows the school district calendar. Full-time or part-time opportunities may be available.
