School Occupational Therapist - $2,412 per week

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel School Occupational Therapist for an assignment in New York, New York.

About the role

A great School is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist / OT to join their growing team for a 13-week contract assignment. This role involves providing direct patient care to assess medical conditions, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance, under physician direction.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients.
• Document and record the patient’s condition.
• Educate patients and families on appropriate occupational therapy methods.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist / OT or actively in the process of obtaining licensure.
• Current CPR certification.

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 30 hours per week
• 6-hour shifts, days

Pay

Highly competitive pay rates. Pay package is based on 6.0-hour shifts and 30.0 hours per week, including a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined).
