School Nutrition Program Director
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, food service management, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) approval or eligible to obtain.
- Proven track record of a strong commitment to Child Nutrition programs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Performance Responsibilities
- Prepares and administers the departmental budget.
- Purchases and maintains an inventory of all foods, supplies, and equipment.
- Plans and supervises the preparation and serving of menus at all schools.
- Inspects school lunch facilities and operations to ensure that standards of diet, cleanliness, health, and safety are being maintained.
- Reviews and evaluates all requests and recommendations for the purchase of new and replacement equipment.
- Administers personnel policies and evaluates all cafeteria personnel.
- Interviews, screens, and recommends the appointment of all cafeteria personnel.
- Checks all bills and purchase orders for accuracy before presenting them to the business manager for payment.
- Applies for and monitors all federal funding applications.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
