School Nutrition Assistant -East Elementary School 6.0

About the Role

As a school nutrition assistant, you will have the opportunity to enjoy working in an active and exciting school cafeteria team setting serving children and faculty Monday through Friday throughout the school year. This position includes a 3-month learning/proficiency period.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen and dining area up to health department regulations
• Sweep, mop, and/or take out trash as needed
• Serve wholesome, nutritious food to students, faculty, and parents
• Deliver quality food and service in a polite, fun, and engaging manner
• Cashiering duties (required for internal applicants immediately; external applicants must become proficient within 30 days)

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Must be on your feet for a good part of the shift
• Must love children
• Must be responsible and dependable in adherence to the work schedule
• Must know what quality food and service looks like

Working Conditions

Openings are available in Elementary, Middle, and High School Cafeterias. This is a fast-paced, lively, and welcoming atmosphere with a focus on safety, quality, and service.

Qualifications

• Internal applicants must know how to cashier and must have scored 3.0 or higher on their last evaluation
