School Nurse Substitute
Cherokee Classical Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Canton, GA, serving grades K-6 (expanding to K-12). Families in Cherokee, Cobb, Bartow, Fulton, Pickens, and Paulding counties, as well as Marietta, Cartersville, and Atlanta, are eligible to enroll.
About the role
On-call substitute position providing health services to students, faculty, and staff in the absence of the School Nurse. Reports to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide and document emergency and non-emergency nursing care for physically and/or psychologically ill and injured students, faculty, and staff.
- Monitor and manage students with chronic diseases and disabilities while documenting in detail services provided in accordance with associated orders and care plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with all CCA Health policies, regulations, and privacy guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Critical Care Paramedic required.
- Current CPR and AED certification required.
- At least three (3) years as a practicing nurse or emergency services responder.
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
