School Nurse (RN)

About the role

This role involves providing skilled nursing support within educational settings, including administering medications, monitoring students with health conditions, responding to emergencies, maintaining health records, and collaborating with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers to support student health and success.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct nursing care to students in schools
• Administering treatments and medications per physician and school protocols
• Monitoring students with chronic or acute health issues
• Responding to health concerns and emergencies
• Maintaining accurate health documentation
• Supporting individual healthcare plans and student needs

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Massachusetts
• Valid Health Certificate, PPD or Chest X-Ray, and BLS certification
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred but not required
