School Nurse LPN PRN

About the role

The Department 38850 at Navicent Health Medical Center seeks a part-time School Nurse on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to those ill or injured
• Screening and referral if needed for health care conditions
• Medication administration, chronic illness management
• Audit immunization records and student health forms
• Document in the EMR per school system
• Complete online continuing education and attend meetings as requested
• Assist in promoting a healthy, safe environment
• Act as a liaison between school, family, and physician
• Education staff on health-related issues and treatments as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification: Valid, active license in the state in which the teammate practices, BLS certification
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
• Experience: None required

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects that weigh at least 5 pounds frequently
