RN/LPN School Nurse (PRN)
Interim HealthCare is looking for an experienced school nurse to join our staffing team.
About the role
Provide health services to students in elementary, middle, and high schools. Treat injuries and mild to acute sicknesses, support students with chronic illnesses, and assist with preventive care by educating students on avoiding communicable diseases and proper hygiene. Must be comfortable with feeding tubes, trachs, and medication administration.
Shifts are Monday–Friday with various times depending on the school. Flexible schedule allows you to pick shifts based on your availability.
Responsibilities
- Treat student injuries and illnesses
- Support students with chronic health conditions
- Educate students on preventive care, hygiene, and disease avoidance
- Administer medications and manage feeding tubes and trachs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, guardians, and teachers
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN or LPN license in Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical facility
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills and compassion
