Responsibilities
- Administer medications according to doctor’s orders
- Monitor and care for seizures
- Tube feedings
- Ventilator support
- Suctioning
- Catheterization
- Assess the health care needs of children to foster an optimal learning environment
- Contribute to IEP meetings
- Work closely with other related service providers such as PT, OT, Speech, Psychologist, etc.
- Provide first aid for daily incidents
- Make recommendations when necessary
- Document all incidents
Qualifications & Education
- NYS Registered Nursing Certification required
- Prior experience working with K-12 students in a school or pediatric environment preferred
