School Nurse (2026-2027)

About the role

Achievers Early College Prep Charter School seeks a hard-working, compassionate, and knowledgeable individual to serve as a middle school and high school nurse for grades 6-9. Experience with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity is a must.

• Perform hearing, vision, and other health screenings
• Treat students and staff as needed
• Prepare incident reports for student and staff injuries
• Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
• Consult with teachers, school administrators, and other school staff regarding student care
• Administer medication
• Maintain student immunization records
• Educate students and staff on health procedures
• Help students who have feeding disabilities

Qualifications

• A minimum degree of Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or Registered Nurse License is required.
• Candidate possessing a Standard School Nurse Certificate (CSN) for the state of NJ and will have all professional licenses and required training up to date is highly preferred.
• Experience working in collaboration with other nurses and with students.
• Demonstrated compliance experience required. Managed an audit process is highly preferred.
