About the role
The School Licensed Practical Nurse Ambulatory provides health services to facilitate optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development for students within the schools. They care for students with chronic health issues and help identify health needs during the school day. Services include health education, medication management, emotional support, and referrals to higher levels of care based on student needs. They also support the education process by ensuring the health of the students and promoting healthy habits to strengthen maximum learning.

Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized accredited school of practical nursing
- Current Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Two years or more of nursing experience required
- Two years of experience working with pediatric patients required

Pay
Salary range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The school nurse position is located on the west side in Indianapolis, Indiana with Decatur Township Schools. The school nurse will float to all of the schools in the Decatur Township School District. Hours may vary based on the needs of the schools.
