About the role
The librarian provides direction and feedback to ensure a high success level of the library's support of the educational program of all divisions, Early Childhood through High School. The librarian must support the mission of Hanalani Schools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a high quality library
- Collaborate with principals and prepare a budget for approval
- Manage aides and volunteers
- Establish policies and procedures
- Collaborate with faculty to best support assignments to ensure high quality student learning
- Meet with principal to establish and evaluate annual library goals
- Manage acquisitions
- Promote resources available
- Conduct an annual inventory
- Instill a love for reading and learning
- Help develop the independent and 21st century learner
- Support students in independent learning through the research process through resource materials and establishing an environment that supports high level of student learning
- Provide student instruction
Requirements
Education 4 Year Degree
