About the Role

The School Drop Off Aide is often one of the first people our children and families see each morning. A warm greeting, an organized drop-off experience, and a strong focus on safety help set the tone for a wonderful day at Apple Montessori Schools.

Apple Montessori Schools is seeking a friendly, dependable, and safety-conscious individual to assist with our morning student drop-off at our Westfield location. This person will help create a safe, organized, and welcoming start to the school day by directing vehicles, keeping the drop-off line moving efficiently, and warmly greeting children and families as they arrive. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent, part-time morning position in a positive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing vehicles during morning drop-off.
• Keep the drop-off line moving safely and efficiently.
• Help prevent double parking and other situations that may interfere with traffic flow or student safety.
• Guide drivers to appropriate drop-off areas.
• Maintain awareness of vehicles, pedestrians, children, and surrounding traffic.
• Welcome children and families with a friendly smile and cheerful “Good morning!”
• Help children have a positive and welcoming start to their school day.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents, caregivers, staff, and students.
• Work with school leadership and staff to address any traffic or safety concerns during arrival.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is:

• Dependable and punctual, with the ability to consistently arrive before the morning drop-off period.
• Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with children and families.
• Confident providing clear and courteous direction to drivers.
• Safety-conscious and attentive to their surroundings.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to stand and remain active throughout the two-hour shift.
• Professional in appearance and communication.
• Committed to providing a warm and welcoming experience for Apple Montessori families.
• Minimum of H.S. Diploma.
• Must complete NJ Requirements for Fingerprints/Background check Clearances.

Pay

$20.00 per hour
