Key Responsibilities

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field. Master's preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
  • Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
  • Deep knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape. Experience working with youth ages 5 - 14.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for transforming education. Belief that the traditional system is fundamentally broken.
  • Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch.
  • Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention from rooms full of students or staff.
  • Able to relate to K-8 students, understand their interests and culture, and serve as a positive role model.
  • Likewise, legally authorized to work in the United States.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Launch the Springfield, MA campus: Execute Alpha's three core promises for 100+ students from day one, ensuring operational excellence in every area.
  • Facilitate live workshops for K-8 students on critical life skills: Lead one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange. Apply Alpha's proven playbook to help students master competencies that traditional schools overlook—while keeping it engaging.
  • Drive every student to reach 100% of their goals: Develop personalized motivational strategies for each child. Leverage data-driven approaches to address disengagement and sustain platform interaction. Success is measured by every student meeting their targets.
  • Develop Guides through coaching and uphold Alpha's performance standards: Identify gaps using data, provide specific feedback, and monitor progress. Make difficult personnel decisions when standards are not met and set the tone as the performance leader on campus.
  • Lead campus operations through data-informed decision-making: Evaluate performance across team members, operations, parent engagement, and school culture. Identify challenges, perform root cause analysis, engage stakeholders, execute measurable solutions, and refine strategies based on outcomes.
