SCHOOL COUNSELOR POOL (2026-2027 SY)

About the role

The School Counselor Pool serves Gadsden County Public Schools for the 2026-2027 school year. This pool will be utilized to fill guidance counselor positions as needed throughout the school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students, families, and staff.
• Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive school counseling programs aligned with state and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to support student academic, career, and personal/social development.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and progress.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Counseling, Guidance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida Professional Counseling License or eligibility to obtain one within six months of employment.
• Experience working with diverse populations and ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Knowledge of child development and psychological theories relevant to counseling practice.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in a school setting or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary range: $48,777.40 - $60,722.40 per year.
