School Counselor - Long Term Substitute

About the role

The Lisbon School Department is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as a long term substitute in the role as a School Counselor for the Lisbon Community School from August to October 2026. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful history of working at the elementary level.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within and among teams
• Establish positive relationships with students
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a supportive learning environment
• Effectively work with small groups and individuals as needed
• Other school related tasks as requested by Administration as may be required for the efficient and effective operation of the building

Requirements/Experience

• Knowledge of and experience supporting individuals and/or small groups with ACES
• A Bachelor’s degree and Maine certification in Mental Health, Social Work, or Maine School Counseling (075), and CHRC approval
