About the role
The School Counselor - Itinerant position serves students at Hill Central and East Rock schools, as well as Home School: Hill Central. This role is contingent upon degree and years of experience, with a salary range of $53,220 - $108,047 for the 26-27 School Year.
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling services to students, families, and staff in a school setting
- Develop and implement individualized counseling plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student success
- Assess student needs and develop strategies to address those needs
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Must possess and maintain the certification requirements as established by Connecticut State Statutes
- Must have 068 School Counseling certification
Qualifications
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
