School Counselor (K-8), Itinerant (Home School Hill Central)

About the role

The School Counselor - Itinerant position serves students at Hill Central and East Rock schools, as well as Home School: Hill Central. This role is contingent upon degree and years of experience, with a salary range of $53,220 - $108,047 for the 26-27 School Year.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services to students, families, and staff in a school setting
• Develop and implement individualized counseling plans for students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student success
• Assess student needs and develop strategies to address those needs
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain the certification requirements as established by Connecticut State Statutes
• Must have 068 School Counseling certification

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
