About the role

This school is a well-established charter school located in Syracuse, Utah, is now accepting applications for a School Counselor starting this upcoming school year 2026-2027. This charter provides a challenging, accelerated curriculum where academic excellence, character development, and individual growth are nurtured in a safe, orderly and pleasant environment.

Responsibilities

• Nurture academic excellence, character development, and individual growth in students.
• Provide counseling services to students, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement comprehensive student support programs.
• Assess student needs and provide appropriate interventions and referrals as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

• A valid Utah license in the area of Counseling or the credentials and qualifications necessary to obtain licensing upon hire.
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling or related field.
• Experience working with adolescents and their families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of child development and psychology.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
