About the role
Phoenix School Counseling is seeking a self-motivated and highly skilled part-time school counselor for the 2026-2027 school year at a non-public K-8 school. The ideal candidate will provide support to students in a small school setting with favorable student-to-counselor ratios.
Responsibilities
- Provide social and emotional support to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student needs.
- Implement evidence-based programs to promote academic success and personal growth.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
Requirements
- Hold a Minnesota School Counselor or School Social Worker License (preferred).
- Experience working in a K-8 educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field.
- Master's degree in school counseling or closely related field preferred.
- Valid Minnesota teaching license or equivalent.
