The School Community Liaison will work within the Sacramento City Unified School District to foster strong connections between schools, families, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with families, community organizations, and school staff to support student success.
• Facilitate communication between schools and families, ensuring parents are informed and engaged in their children’s education.
• Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and meetings to promote school programs and resources.
• Assist families in navigating district resources and services, including enrollment, special education, and support programs.
• Collaborate with school leadership to address barriers to student attendance, engagement, and achievement.
• Provide translation and interpretation services as needed to ensure accessibility for non-English-speaking families.
• Support the implementation of district initiatives aimed at improving family and community involvement.
