Objectives

Reporting to the Program Coordinator of the Clinic in Schools Program, the School Clinical Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally responsive care and case management services to children and families within a school-based setting. This individual will be collaborating with school personnel and clinical teams, to provide crisis intervention and evidence-based consultation while managing referrals and scheduling for the satellite location.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality psychotherapy services to children and families from diverse educational, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds within a school-based setting.
  • Collaborate closely with school administrators, teachers, and Northside staff, in conjunction with supervisor, to ensure coordinated and effective delivery of the following:
    • Manage school-specific referral and assignment tracking systems, including the development of client schedules aligned with academic timetables to ensure timely and consistent care.
    • Educate and consult with school staff on evidence-based interventions to support students emotional and behavioral functioning in the classroom environment.
    • Support and assist with crisis intervention and risk assessment for students, including participation in safety planning and ongoing monitoring of high-risk cases.
    • Cookordinate care with psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure comprehensive, integrated treatment for assigned clients.
    • Provide case management services as needed, including collaboration with families, external providers, and community-based support agencies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet established productivity expectations and maintain a work schedule aligned with client service needs.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, case conferences, training, and ongoing professional development, while upholding ethical standards, including strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Specific Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working in mental health settings with children, families, and adults.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to effectively coordinate operations within a school-based clinic environment.
  • Training and experience in evidence-based treatment models.
  • Ability to exercise sound, independent clinical judgment in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and school partners.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology and applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Teams), Zoom, Doxy.me, and electronic health record systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred to meet the linguistic and cultural needs of the populations served.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
  • Demonstrated experience providing services in a school-based setting preferred.
  • Active and unrestricted New York State license to practice.
  • Doctoral degree (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted New York State license in Psychology.

Compensation and Benefits

Northside offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Annual Salary $73,048.
