About the Role
The School Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the provision of school health services to the student population served. This position assists the Manager in the daily operations of the assigned school district in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of student care within the school building of the assigned district, as well as contributing to the development and evaluation of assigned nursing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction regarding departmental goals as directed by contract.
- Demonstrates personal and professional accountability for themselves and staff.
- Maintains school clinic safety for staff and students.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
- Supports staff recruitment and retention efforts.
- Assists with Human Resource Management, including coaching, development, and evaluation of nursing personnel.
- Promotes a positive work environment and staff engagement.
- Serves as a clinical resource to the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintains appropriate student health records and documents services rendered.
- Communicates effectively with management, parents/guardians, school authorities, and allied personnel.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the students served.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required, or current enrollment in a BSN program with completion required within 2 years of assuming the position.
- BLS certification required.
- Registered Nurse Licensure required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare required.
- Minimum 1 year in a similar role preferred.
- Experience in a school setting preferred.
- Experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
Schedule
Part-time position with an FTE of 0.560000. This is an onsite role.
