About the role

Little Lukes Preschool and Childcare Center is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated educators to help young children explore, learn, and grow. The center uses an award-winning curriculum that provides an invigorating learning environment for children ages 3 to 5 years, merging typically developing daycare children with preschool children with special needs in integrated classrooms. Studies show children retain information better when engaged in enjoyable, meaningful activities.

Little Lukes offers a choice of 6 locations throughout Central New York: Oswego, Fulton, East Syracuse, Baldwinsville, Pulaski, and Camillus. The team provides career advancement, professional growth, educational support, and individual mentoring in an inspiring atmosphere with opportunities for fun, growth, and recognition. In addition to teacher assistant, lead teacher, special education teacher, and substitute teacher roles, Little Lukes offers pediatric speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist positions, providing speech, OT, and PT services to children in integrated preschool classrooms.

Schedule

Part-time, Monday through Friday, 7:45 am – 1:15 pm, with option for additional hours.

Pay

Up to $22/hour with NYS Teacher Assistant Certification.

Requirements

• NYS Teacher Assistant Certification preferred
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Experience with special needs children ideal
• Preschool or PreK experience a plus
• High energy level and caring personality
• Teamwork mentality and positive attitude
