Join First Student as a School Bus Driver based in Vacherie, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school activities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
- Absorb students while boarding and exiting the bus
- Ensure a safe, orderly environment onboard
- Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch as needed
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures
- Help create a positive experience for students every day
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years
- Enjoy working with students and families
- Commit to safety and customer service

Pay
- Starting Pay: $22.00 Per Hour
- $2,000 Sign-On Bonus for experienced, fully licensed school bus drivers
- $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for new drivers
- $500 CLP Bonus when you obtain your Commercial Learner's Permit within 14 days of completing the virtual CLP class
- Guaranteed Minimum of 5 Paid Hours Per School Day when driving both morning and afternoon routes
Schedule
- Flexible Schedule with Summers Off
- Weekdays only
- Split shifts that allow time for family, hobbies, appointments, or a second job
- No evenings
- No weekends
- No school holidays
- No required summer work
