School Bus Driver

Role Overview: A School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and related activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and fostering a positive environment. Key Responsibilities Operate school buses and commercial vehicles safely, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.Transport students to various locations, including schools, extracurricular activities, and events.Enforce behavior management policies and maintain order on the bus to ensure passenger safety.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchers, utilizing multilingual skills if needed.Assist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs.Maintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidents.Comply with all transportation regulations at federal, state, and local levels. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in bus or commercial driving; school bus experience valued.Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.Mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor troubleshooting.Experience working with children or in childcare is advantageous.Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.Multilingual abilities or experience in caregiving or teaching can be beneficial.
