School Bus Driver

Role Overview We are seeking a responsible School Bus Driver dedicated to safely transporting students to and from school and activities. The role requires strong driving skills, excellent communication, and a genuine interest in working with children. The driver must adhere to safety protocols, manage student behavior effectively, and create a positive transportation environment, ensuring student safety during daily routes. Key Responsibilities Operate school buses and commercial vehicles safely, following traffic laws and safety regulationsTransport students to designated locations, including schools, extracurricular activities, and eventsEnforce behavior management policies and maintain order on the busConduct vehicle inspections for safety and cleanlinessCommunicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchersAssist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needsMaintain records of routes, attendance, and incidentsFollow all transportation-related regulations Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in bus or commercial driving, with preference for school bus or paratransit experienceStrong communication skills, especially with children and parentsMechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenanceExperience working with children or in childcare is advantageousMultilingual abilities or experience in education or senior care are beneficialValid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferredAbility to write reports and documentation related to transportation activities Additional Information This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, training, and tuition reimbursement.
