School Bus Driver

Role Overview: A responsible School Bus Driver is needed to safely transport students to and from school and activities. The role requires strong driving skills, effective communication, and a focus on student safety and behavior management. Key Responsibilities Safely operate buses following traffic laws and safety regulationsTransport students to various locations, including schools and eventsEnsure passenger safety by enforcing behavior policies and maintaining orderPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsCommunicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchersAssist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needsMaintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidentsAdhere to all transportation laws and regulations Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in bus or commercial driving preferredStrong communication skills, especially with children and parentsMechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance is advantageousExperience working with children or in childcare is beneficialMultilingual abilities or experience in related fields are a plusValid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferredAbility to write reports or documentation related to transportation activities
