School Bus Driver

About the Role

A responsible and dedicated School Bus Driver is needed to safely transport students to and from school and activities. The role emphasizes strong driving skills, effective communication, safety adherence, behavior management, and providing a positive transportation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses and vehicles following traffic laws and safety protocols
• Transport students to designated locations, including schools and events
• Enforce behavior policies and maintain order on the bus
• Conduct vehicle inspections for safety and cleanliness
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchers
• Assist students, including those with special needs
• Maintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidents
• Follow all transportation regulations and guidelines

Requirements

• Proven experience in bus or commercial driving preferred, especially with school buses or paratransit
• Strong communication skills, including multilingual abilities
• Mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance
• Experience working with children or in childcare settings
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred
• Ability to document transportation activities effectively
