Role Overview Seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and activities. The role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, effective behavior management, and providing a positive transportation experience. The driver plays a vital part in ensuring student safety and creating a welcoming environment during daily routes. Key Responsibilities Operate buses and commercial vehicles safely, following traffic laws and safety regulationsTransport students to various locations, including schools and eventsMaintain passenger safety by enforcing behavior policies and managing orderConduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanlinessCommunicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchersAssist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needsMaintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidentsFollow all relevant transportation regulations Qualifications & Skills Experience in bus or commercial driving preferred; school bus or paratransit experience valuedStrong communication skills, including multilingual abilities beneficialKnowledge of vehicle maintenance and minor troubleshooting advantageousExperience working with children or in childcare settings preferredValid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferredAbility to write reports and documentation related to transportation activities
