School Bus Driver

Role Overview: A School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and fostering a positive environment. Key Responsibilities Operate school buses and commercial vehicles safely, following traffic laws and safety regulationsTransport students to designated locations, including extracurricular activities and eventsEnforce behavior policies and maintain order on the bus to ensure passenger safetyConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and cleanlinessCommunicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and dispatchersAssist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needsMaintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidentsFollow all transportation regulations and safety standards Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in bus or commercial driving; school bus or paratransit experience preferredStrong communication skills, especially with children and parentsMechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance and troubleshootingExperience working with children or in childcare settingsMultilingual abilities or experience with diverse populations is advantageousValid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferredAbility to document transportation activities effectively Additional Details: Full-time position offering benefits such as medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, paid training, and tuition reimbursement.
