School Bus Driver

Role Overview: A School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and related activities, ensuring a positive and secure environment throughout the journey. Key Responsibilities Operate school buses and commercial vehicles following traffic laws and safety protocols.Transport students to designated locations, including schools, extracurricular activities, and events.Enforce behavior management policies, maintain order, and assist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs.Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchers, utilizing multilingual skills if needed.Maintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidents, and adhere to transportation regulations. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in bus or commercial driving, especially in school transportation or paratransit services.Strong communication skills suitable for engaging with children, parents, and staff.Mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance is advantageous.Experience working with children or in childcare settings, with understanding of behavior management techniques.Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.Multilingual abilities or experience in senior care or teaching can be beneficial.Ability to complete reports and documentation related to transportation activities.
