Qualifications
- High School diploma/equivalent
- Valid School Bus Driver Permit (must be 21+), but will train
- Valid CDL Driver's License with good driving record (preferred), but will train
- Respect confidentiality
- Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations
- References must be provided
School Bus Driver Tasks
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections
- Report maintenance safety issues
- Maintain cosmetic appearance of bus (swept/dusted/windows/fueled)
- Maintain student discipline/report improper conduct
- Check for messages before each shift (mailbox/board/calendar)
- Follow district transportation policy
- Perform job according to State Bus Driver Curriculum
- Annual physical/drug screen (subject to random drug testing)
- Perform all additional tasks as directed by the Director of Operations
- Promote a positive relationship with students, staff and community
- Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
