About the role

Provide safe, supportive supervision for students who ride school buses in Brick Township, NJ. The Substitute School Bus Attendant assists with student boarding and exiting, maintains a calm and orderly environment, supports individual student needs, and works closely with the driver and school staff. This role may serve on an as-needed basis and requires dependable attention to student safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during boarding, transportation, and departure.
• Assist students safely as they enter and exit the bus.
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and orderly bus environment.
• Support students with mobility, behavioral, or other individual needs as directed.
• Communicate promptly with the bus driver and school personnel regarding safety concerns, incidents, or student needs.
