School Bus Assistant - Memphis, TN

Responsibilities

• Aid students in entering and exiting the bus safely.
• Use seat belts, car seats, wheelchair restraints, or other safety equipment to seat students.
• Maintain supervision of passengers to enforce safety rules and student conduct.
• Communicate and manage student behavior according to company policy.
• Report any conduct issues, violations, or suspicious behavior to supervisors.
• Assist in emergency evacuations as needed.
• Ensure students take their belongings when leaving the bus.
• Keep the vehicle interior clean and presentable.
• Complete required paperwork and submit it on time.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Arrive on time and perform all duties safely.
• Attend assigned training, safety meetings, and in-service meetings.
• Promote company goodwill with employees, supervisors, parents, and school personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old; 19 years old in New York for School Bus Assistants.
• Meet physical and medical requirements.
• Pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings.
• Show attention to detail and dexterity to handle various restraints and equipment.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to lift and assist students as necessary.
