School Bus Aide

About the role

Holcomb Bus is looking for school bus aides to assist in the physical and behavioral care of the passengers during transport to and from school/location. In addition, the aide will help with the safe boarding, riding and exiting of students/passengers.

Responsibilities

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a background check from 18 years old until now
• Able to read, understand and communicate in English to respond appropriately to students' needs during route and notify proper personnel of emergency and safety issues
• Remain polite and professional to students, teachers, school officials, parents, and office personnel
• PRACTICE GOOD PERSONAL HYGIENE WHILE TRANSPORTING STUDENTS/PASSENGERS
• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to assist in evacuating clients in an emergency
