School Bus Aide (2026-2027)

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Performance Responsibilities

• Aid students in boarding and alighting the school bus safely.
• Ensure students are properly secured in their seats as required.
• Maintain supervision of student behavior and compliance with transportation conduct guidelines.
• Collaborate with the bus driver to maintain a safe environment for all students.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards

• Works in a standard school bus environment.
• Requires work involving walking, standing, stooping, crouching, stretching, or lifting up to 50 pounds of force.

Terms of Employment

• Based on Classified Salary Schedule, Grade 5.
• This is a part-time position in accordance with the district's needs.

Evaluation

• Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy.
