Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of clients enrolled in the program.
  • A Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
  • The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc.).
  • A valid automobile operator’s license, vehicle and state minimum require automobile coverage is required.
  • At least two (2) years clinical experience in a direct service provision to children and adolescents in a mental health setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of the community resources as well as health and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area and skill in establishing working relationships with community partners preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.

What You'll Do

  • Provide biopsychosocial assessment and case management services as appropriate for children and youth who are ReDiscover clients.
  • Assess children and families accurately and completely using all the diagnostic tools required.
  • Develop treatment plans that match the needs of the child/family/community and works toward meeting goals of the treatment plan.
  • Follows through with all tasks and interventions that are identified by all parties involved.
  • Integrates service provision to all parties to address the needs of the client.
  • Demonstrates clinically sound judgment and seeks appropriate supervision and/or training for difficult or hard to serve clients.
  • Maintains clear concise communication that is timely and accurate with all parties to the service provision.
  • Mets with clients/families within the timeframes established by the program.
