School Based Therapist - Macomb County (Full License Needed)

Job Duties

• Provides individual and/or group consulting to school district staff using mental health consultation best practices.
• Provides on-demand crisis intervention with partnering districts.
• Provides individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family.
• Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with grant/funder requirements as well as Easterseals MORC policies and procedures.
• Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families.
• Makes sure to monitor client progress and coordinate appropriate behavioral health and other needed services including, but not limited to, community coordination, outreach, and referrals.
• Willingness to support and assist individuals served with trauma related issues utilizing TFCBT, CBITS, Prime for Life and/or trauma-informed practices.
• Attends school meetings/provides consultation regarding mutual individuals served.
• Provides community trainings and/or participates in community/school events to promote Easterseals MORC services.
• Uses data to make caseload decisions; determines training needs within a school/community.

Qualifications

• Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work; AND Have an LMSW from the State of Michigan;
• OR Possess a Master’s degree in Counseling; AND Have a (LPC) from the State of Michigan AND Must meet qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services.
