Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging life skills interventions and strategies on topics such as communication, self-management, decision-making, conflict resolution, and self-regulation.
- Provide individual and family sessions to support students in developing essential life skills.
- Primarily work with students during the school day in the classroom or school office; before/after school and early evening hours will also be utilized to support students and families either at school or in the student’s home.
- Collaborate and regularly communicate with teachers, counselors, and school administrators to identify and address student needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and program outcomes within an electronic health record.
- Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources to connect students and families with additional support services.
Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or a related degree in human service field is required.
- Associate's degree in human services or related field and (2) years previous direct care experience in social services, behavioral health, school-based, etc., or High school graduate or GED and four (4) years previous direct care experience in social services, behavioral health, school-based, etc.
- Two years' of post-bachelors work experience in mental health is preferred.

Schedule
Hours are primarily during the school day, with flexibility for before/after school and early evening hours.
