About the Role

The School Based Lead Clinician provides clinical care in the school setting, utilizing assessment tools to identify areas for interventions and partnering with district staff to support student wellness. This position involves daily leadership, management, supervision, and coaching of a team of clinicians in a school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a lead role to a treatment team providing behavioral health support integrated within educational programming.
  • Manage and oversee students experiencing risk behaviors and/or behavioral health crisis events.
  • Designate and support case coverage during staff transitions and/or PTO.
  • Train new team members upon hire and regularly thereafter to ensure collaboration, competency, and teamwork.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques in individual and group settings.
  • Deliver direct services to individuals, families, and groups through treatment modalities such as behavior modification, individual, group, and family therapies.
  • Create, maintain, and update treatment plans to address client-specific needs.
  • Coordinate care by collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals in accordance with policies and objectives.
  • Complete intake and clinical assessments for all students entering the program.
  • Coordinate and triage all referrals to ensure timely care.
  • Serve as a liaison between Child and Family Focus and school district staff, focusing on customer service, community partnerships, and advocacy.
  • Utilize multiple electronic health records as needed.
  • Demonstrate ongoing availability during the school year.
  • Implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care: Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, and Empowerment.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work).
  • 1 or more years of clinical experience working in an educational setting.
  • 2 or more years of experience providing therapy to children and adolescents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Schedule

Typical work hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
