School Aide (Noon Aide) at Yavapai ES (34650)

About the role

Provides a security presence at the school complex by walking around the facility and monitoring activities and students. Reports the presence of unauthorized personnel to the school office.

Responsibilities

• Monitors activities on campus to ensure the safety of students, which may include:
  • Identifying safety violations
  • Diffusing situations among students
  • Reinforcing positive social behavior
• Performs minor housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks to keep the environment free of litter and/or dangerous situations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job
• Ability to complete Crossing Guard training (if required for assignment)
• Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)

• Basic safety and security principles, practices, equipment, and procedures

Physical Requirements

• Reaching, finger dexterity, and grasping
• Talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.

Pay

Return-to-work retirees will have an hourly rate approximately 9% lower than listed without falling below minimum wage.
