SCHOOL AIDE
Job Overview
The School Aide supports the daily operations of the school, blending clerical responsibilities with direct student support. This role collaborates with the Executive Director and Director of Systems on school-wide priorities and operational needs, while the Principal oversees all-day-to-day duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, faxing, and distributing instructional materials.
- Answer phones and provide general reception support.
- Maintain inventory and ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
- Welcome and assist students, families, and staff with warmth and professionalism.
- Support daily school operations including breakfast, lunch, dismissal, and bus duty.
- Assist with student recruitment efforts and school events.
- Provide classroom coverage when needed.
- Organize and supervise games and recreational activities during recess to support students' social, emotional, and physical development.
- Monitor student arrival and dismissal, ensuring students board the correct buses safely.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- A Food Protection Certificate is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
