School Age Childcare Site Director – Before & After School

About the role

The Site Director is the heart of a Healthy Kids Programs location. You'll lead the daily operations of the site by creating a safe, engaging program that children love and families trust. You'll support and coach your team, build strong relationships with families and school partners, and ensure the program meets Healthy Kids Programs' quality standards and all licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Loves working with children and helping them learn through play and positive experiences
• Bridges the gap between parents and schools by communicating effectively with families
• Supports and coaches the team to ensure they meet the program's quality standards
• Ensures the program complies with state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with families and school partners
• Manages the program's inventory to ensure it is well-stocked with necessary supplies
• Ensures the program operates within the required staffing ratios
• Prepares and updates records to ensure accuracy and readiness for inspections
• Provides childcare for enrolled children on the days and during the hours you work

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
• Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
• Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
