About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Roaring Brook Elementary School, Grafflin Elementary School, and Westorchard Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
  • Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13
  • Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay rate: $17.00 per hour
  • Schedule follows the school calendar: Morning Program 7:30 – 9:00 am; Afternoon Program 2:55 – 5:15 pm
  • Part-time, non-exempt
