About the role

The internship with the Center for Scholarly Communication at Stony Brook University Libraries offers hands-on experience supporting various initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Aiding in program planning and coordination, particularly for the annual Open Access Symposium
  • Assisting with instructional and outreach sessions
  • Building collections and inputting content into the Academic Commons
  • Discovering and sharing information about new resources and scholarly communication initiatives on the library blog
  • Participating in a variety of other library activities, including reference services and departmental meetings
